New Zealand is a great place for living. You don't have
to tell that people who want to life here.
So it's understandable that some people get a bit carried
away with their enthusiasm for the idea of immigrating to
New Zealand. Some people's glasses are definitely tinted too
rosy. Especially when one looks at the country from many thousands
of kilometers away it is easy to overlook those few tiny inconveniencies
you might encounter when you are finally living here.
Like, for example, living in a New Zealand weatherboard house
(which are uninsulated as long as you do not spend a fortune
on insulating it what most New Zealanders consider a waste
of money - a woolen hat is cheaper) during a New Zealand winter
(which can be dam cold, I can tell you) in Christchurch (where
the winters can be even colder). Then suddenly those new New
Zealanders find fond memories for their way of living back
'home'.
